Parents who abuse or threaten teachers in Victoria now face being banned from school campuses. Legislation is to be debated in the state parliament, as high numbers of teachers say they feel unsafe in their workplace. After disciplining a student at a high school in Melbourne’s west this teacher, who wishes to remain anonymous, was told by the child’s parent: “I’ll be back, waiting for you outside with 30 of my friends.”
