UNHCR launches appeal as 2 million refugees face hunger

The UN Refugee Agency has warned that two million refugees are now at risk of hunger in ten African countries.Food and funding shortages threaten already low rations. Australia for UNHCR has launched an appeal to help fund emergency nutrition supplies, stabilisation centres and shelter.Martin Kwakwa spoke with Australia for UNHCR National Director Naomi Steer, who said supplies were needed urgently in the affected areas.  

Australia for UNHCR has launched an appeal to provide life-saving aid for refugees and displaced people caught in the growing food crisis in parts of Africa.
