What do Burmese in Australia think of Newstart allowence payment's rate?

How much is the Newstart allowance?People with no dependent children receive $282 a week, or $40 a day, including an energy supplement to reduce the cost of power bills.

Around 40 per cent of people on Newstart also receive a maximum of $69 a week in rent assistance.

More than half of respondents to the survey said they had less than $100 per week left after paying for housing.

Voices from across the political spectrum want the rates raised, with former deputy prime minister Barnaby Joyce among the latest to back calls for an increase.
