- Russia wants the "enemy states", that is, all EU members - to pay for gas in rubles. The EU has said that Russia has no right to unilaterally change the gas delivery agreement, and that Europe will not comply with Kremlin blackmail.
- Bulgarian Prime Minister Kiril Petkov and Energy Minister Alexander Nikolov assured there is enough gas for at least a month, and there is readiness for urgent deliveries. Greece immediately said it would help.
- The two leaders of the “We Continue Change” party, Kiril Petkov and Asen Vassilev, for the first time took a real step towards their emancipation from the president Rumen Radev by openly opposing his dictate.
