Highlights
- Queensland announces a range of relaxations for fully vaccinated people.
- From 17 December, or when the state reaches 80 per cent double vaccination, there will be no COVID-19 restrictions on pubs and other entertainment venues, stadiums, etc.
- Hospital visits will be open to only vaccinated people, the only exception being end of life or emergency situations.
- Queenslanders will not have to wear masks except for flights and airports once the state reaches 80 per cent first dose vaccination target.
- A new report from Doherty Institute has found that with COVID-19 vaccination coverage greater than 70 per cent, around half of all infections will be in vaccinated people, but in a milder and less infectious form.
- Under the 3-stage roadmap of opening up, Northern Territory to begin home quarantine from 23 November.
COVID-19 cases:
- Victoria has recorded 1,069 new local cases and 10 deaths.
- NSW has recorded 222 new cases and four deaths.
