Since his release from Tihar Jail, Kanhaiya has received many life threats by various groups. But this is the first invitation of a polite democratic open debate!

Jhanvi Behal, a 15-year-old girl, from Ludhiana has challenged Jawaharlal Nehru University Students' Union President Kanhaiya Kumar to an open debate - anywhere, anytime - particularly over his allegations on Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Kanhaiya, who is out on bail, was booked by Delhi Police on charges for anti-national sloganeering in JNU. In his home-coming speech at JNU, he was critical about Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government.

She told ANI -  "It is very easy to criticise someone while sitting at home. Kanhaiya should concentrate on working like PM Modi."

Jhanvi, who was honoured on the Republic Day for her contribution during the 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan,' is an active member of an NGO and has raised several public issues in the past - female foeticide, awareness against porn movies and content on the social networking sites, and  the matter of road blockage of various organizations that causes inconvenience to public.

In an interview to the Hindustan Times, Jhanvi said - “What has happened in JNU campus in the name freedom of expression is not tolerable for any Indian. The students were raising anti-India slogans, when armymen were sacrificing their lives fighting against Pakistan sponsored terrorists."

Since his release from Tihar Jail, Kanhaiya has received many life threats by various groups. But this is the first invitation of a polite democratic open debate!

She further added - "I would like to inform that I would have done the same had there been any other Prime Minister."
