The St Vincent de Paul Society NSW is a member and volunteer based organisation that has been assisting people experiencing disadvantage in NSW for more than 130 years.

At the heart of what Vinnies members, volunteers and employees do is to offer vital emotional support and referral services to people in their homes or at our centres and services. Our emphasis is on early intervention and our goal is for the people we assist to live independently, but supported, in secure accommodation.

Vinnies runs 115 specialised community support services across NSW. These include homelessness and assisted accommodation services; assistance to asylum seekers, migrants and refugees; home, hospital, prison and detention centre visitation; mental health programs; youth services; disability services; drug, alcohol and gambling counselling and rehabilitation services; financial counselling and assistance and food assistance.

Vinnies is well known for its shops. The funds raised through the sale of good quality, pre-loved and donated items at the 250 shops and distribution centres across NSW are directed towards the provision of services and support programs in local communities.
