Nine films have today been added to the list of candidates for the 2013 Golden Bear.

Nine films have today been added to the list of candidates for the Golden Bear to be awarded at the 63rd Berlinale (from February 7 to 17, 2013). Among them, three French films: Camille Claudel 1915 by Bruno Dumont, Elle s'en va (On my Way) by Emmanuelle Bercot and La Religieuse (The Nun) by Guillaume Nicloux. They are joined by An Episode in the Life of an Iron Picker by Bosnian director Danis Tanovic, and two movies made in Germany: Gold by Thomas Arslan and Layla Fourie by Pia Marais. Also worth noting, the presence of Steven Soderbergh and Iranian director Jafar Panahi in the competition.

The 15 films selected for the Competition programme currently include:
