Accomplished film commentator and arts journalist Sandy George joins SBS this February as the new host of film as it returns to SBS ONE. Sandy will begin by presenting a sensational line-up of 13 internationally acclaimed and award-winning films.

Sandy's experience includes film writer for The Australian newspaper, editor of film and television industry magazine Encore and Australian and New Zealand correspondent for Screen International/

Sandy will introduce and provide a brief and insightful background into each film before its Saturday 9.30pm broadcast. She will also present a more detailed analysis on

The first season comprises 13 films and includes free-to-air premieres of New Zealand's 2010 coming of age tale Boy, French comedy Heartbreaker, and Oscar nominated, award winning An Education starring Carey Mulligan.
