About the film

Set in late 19th century Imperial Russia, beautiful young aristocrat Anna Karenina (Knightly), wife of the conservative Alexei Karenin (Law), finds herself defiantly drawn to the dashing young Calvary Officer, Count Vronsky (Taylor-Johnson). Jeopardising her marriage and societal standing, she embarks on a passionate and scandalous affair that leads to her tragic fate.

Anna Karenina, directed by Joe Wright (Pride & Prejudice, Atonement), is an extraordinary film which seamlessly transitions from book to set, parading decadent costumes that won acclaimed designer Jacqueline Durran an Academy Award for Achievement in Costume Design and a British Academy for Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Award for Costume Design.

A classic period drama and visual masterpiece, Anna Karenina is the perfect edition to anyone's home collection. Available on Blu-ray™ (RRP$44.95) and DVD (RRP $39.95) from June 13, 2013.
