South Australian writer/director Craig Lahiff passed away on February 2 after a brief illness.

The softly spoken director of films as diverse as the outback period courtroom drama Black and White (2002) and genre potboiler Swerve (2011), was revered by many in the industry for his grace and technical prowess, and as a passionate advocate of the South Australian screen production industry.

He is survived by his twin sons, Sean and Daland.
