Movie buffs rejoice: SBS is making the shift to 24-hour programming and that means one thing - MORE of the movies you love.

Every night, we’re screening two acclaimed movies on both SBS ONE and SBS 2. The best part is, you get to decide the way you want to watch them.

Night owl? Watch them live. Early riser? No problem - set your DVR or catch them later anywhere, anytime, via the 15 platforms supported by SBS On Demand.

There are movies to suit all tastes, encompassing all of the languages and genres that we know you can’t get enough of. Here’s a sample of some of the movies we’ve got in the next few weeks:

If you crave some drama, then look out for: French Resistance thriller Female Agents, headlined by Sophie Marceau as a woman with nothing left to lose, who headlines a special UK/French covert operation; the universally acclaimed Ajami, which gives a sense of the daily life of those striving for normalcy at the epicentre of the Arab/Israeli conflict;  and Danish thriller Just Another Love Story, a morality tale that defies the simple premise of its title.

Hungry for action? You can’t go past Johnnie To and his thrill-a-minute Election, following the aspiring candidates for a prime position in Hong Kong’s oldest Triad; or the searing story of the group of special forces employed to maintain the rule of law in Rio De Janeiro’s notorious favelas, José Padilha’s Berlin Golden Bear-winning Elite Squad.

Fancy something lighter? We’ve got that covered – how about hit French farce The Valet, about a sham romance between a lowly car park attendant and a supermodel, or Remi Baznacon’s poignant comedy/drama about 12 years in the life of a chaotic family, The First Day of the Rest of Your Life (pictured).
