What's it about?
Two parallel stories about alien encounters. In the first, a group of research scientists are investigating the strange appearance of items in remote locations, using music education to communicate. The response baffles them, until a cartographer deciphers the meaning. Meanwhile, Roy Neary and Jillian Guiler experience paranormal activity before flashes of bright lights in the sky in Indiana.

What's it about?
Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman star in this Sci-Fi film about a man who is genetically inferior, and destined to die at age 30. But he defies his fate and assumes the identity of a superior being, Jude Law in order to pursue his lifelong dream of space travel. Gattaca is a thoughtful, restrained sci-fi film and it broke Jude law in the US in the tragic role of a man with all the genetic advantages but an inability to find happiness.

He wants to remain law-abiding, but the pull of his old family and friends - who are deeply embroiled in a life of crime - is very strong. When Doug is asked to help a friend pull off a robbery, he knows it's a bad idea but he goes along anyway, with tragic results.
