Benjie (Bird), a child star, is shaken when his schizophrenic sister (Wasikowska) is released from a mental hospital and returns to Los Angeles, turning the convoluted world of shallow, selfish celebrities and their minions upside down. Directed by David Cronenberg (Dead Ringers, A Dangerous Method), and written by novelist Bruce Wagner (Wild Palms, Force Majeure), the film earned Julianne Moore a Best Actress prize at Cannes for her role as a disturbed actress.
