After 35 years of working in a factory in Germany, Ilias (Arto Apartian) returns home in Germany and buys a service station on the main street to Ioannina. Ilias wants to make a new start but feels like a foreigner again, this time in his own country. Meanwhile, his younger and beautiful wife Eleni (Maria Skoula) feels like she is suffocating. Marrying Ilias when she was very young in order to avoid the poverty and wretchedness of village life, she now wants to break free and live at last while there is still time. The introduction of Petros (Artur Luzi), the Albanian immigrant Ilias hires to work in the service station, will affect them all profoundly as a relationship develops between Eleni and Petros.
