Woman assaulted in bottle shop hold-up

Police are looking for an armed robber who assaulted a woman while holding up a bottle shop in the city's west.

A young woman has been assaulted by a knife-wielding bandit during a hold-up of a bottle shop in south west Sydney.

The armed robber entered the bottle shop on Selems Parade at Revesby and allegedly assaulted the 19-year-old worker about 5.10pm on Thursday, police said.

He demanded cash from the woman and fled the premises with money.

The woman was uninjured in the incident.

Police are looking for the thief who's described as 180cm tall, with a solid build, and was wearing a black hooded jumper, black long pants, and black shoes.
