Sex scenes can be awkward enough but Liam Neeson found one on the set of Woody Allen's Husbands and Wives particularly uncomfortable.
Neeson was preparing for the scene with Judy Davis but the usually punctual Allen was 20 minutes late to the set, the actor told GQ magazine.
It turned out Mia Farrow had just discovered Allen was romancing their adopted daughter Soon-Yi Previn, who is now his wife.
The actor says he knew something was wrong.
"Judy and I are in bed, obviously covered up," he told the magazine.
"The crew are all ready, and we're waiting for Woody. No-show.
"It's starting to get a bit uncomfortable, it's a bed scene.
"Anyway, he came out after about 20 minutes and said, 'OK!'"
"There was no apology, nothing."
