ASX up all week for 1st time since October

The ASX has closed up 33 points, just 77 points from its all-time high set nearly 12 years ago, having gained all week for the first time since October.

The Australian share market has finished the week up two per cent, having not had a day of losses for the first time since October.

The benchmark S&P/ASX200 index closed up 33.3 points, or 0.5 per cent, at 1615 AEST on Friday, with the broader All Ordinaries up 30.9 points, or 0.45 per cent, to 6,831.8

The Aussie dollar was buying 70.17 US cents, from 70.34 US cents on Thursday.
