French students have blocked traffic and confronted police as the 'yellow vest' protest sweeping France grows larger.
French high-school students have taken part in the 'yellow vest' protests challenging Emmanuel Macron's presidency.
The protests began as a movement against rising fuel taxes but expanded to a broad rebellion against the 40-year-old President Emmanuel Macron.
Students were filmed near Lyon blocking traffic and wearing high-vis yellow jackets, which have become a symbol of the protest.
The French government has since abandoned the fuel tax hike and is offering to reassess other taxes in 2019.
