SBS World News Radio: Lawyers acting for a group of doctors are launching a High Court challenge against secrecy provisions in the federal government's Border Force Act.
The laws prohibit workers in detention centres from sharing confidential information about asylum seekers.
If they do, they can face up to two years' jail.
Dr Barri Phatafod is from the group Doctors for Refugees.
She says the contracts doctors sign before working in offshore processing centres are preventing them from caring properly for their patients.
Dr Phatafod is speaking to Manny Tsigas.
