Former prime minister Tony Abbott fielded questions on energy policy and Malcolm Turnbull's leadership when he arrived for work in Canberra on Monday.
Tony Abbott says debate around energy policy is not about personalities or the future of Malcolm Turnbull's leadership.
The former prime minister reportedly told a meeting of Tasmanian Young Liberals on the weekend that he looked forward to "a Dutton government", however he declined to speculate on Peter Dutton's leadership ambitions when quizzed by reporters in Canberra on Monday.
"It's not about personalities. It's not about him, it's not about me ... It's about policy and what we've got to get is a contest. The only way we can win the next election is to have a contest over policy not personalities," Mr Abbott said.
