Former NSW Labor leadership hopeful Chris Minns has been promoted in shadow cabinet, days after he lost a leadership ballot to Jodi McKay.
Former NSW Labor leadership contender Chris Minns has been promoted within the shadow cabinet of new leader Jodi McKay.
Ms McKay announced the full reshuffle on Wednesday after she emphatically won the ballot against Mr Minns on the weekend.
Kate Washington, John Graham and Prue Car also were promoted.
Mr Minns will take the transport and corrections portfolios, Ms Car gets education, Ms Washington will take rural health and environment and heritage, while Mr Graham will be responsible for roads, music and the night-time economy.
Women will form half of the team in a "historic first" for any major party in the state, Ms McKay said.
