Ken Wiltshire is a professor of Public Administration at the University of Queensland Business School.
Mr Wiltshire and Kevin Donnelly have been appointed by the Abbott government to head the review into the national school curriculum.
He is a member of the Institute of Public Administration Australia, Institute of Public Administration of Canada and Queensland Council for Civil Liberties.
Mr Wiltshire headed a review of the Queensland school curriculum for the Wayne Goss Labor government.
He served for six years as Australia’s Representative on the Executive Board of UNESCO, including two years as the Chair of the Program and External Relations Commission of the Board.
He is a critic of the current curriculum, having described it as a "failure".
In a 2013 opinion article for The Australian, he criticised Labor's school funding reforms, stating: "the manner in which the new school funding reforms are being handled is a national disgrace."
In a 2010 article, he suggested the independent politicians holding the balance of power should support the Coalition.
