North Korea wants to welcome Pope Francis

Pope Francis could be on the way to North Korea before long thanks to an invite from Kim Jong-un.

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has invited Pope Francis to Pyongyang, South Korea's president says.

South Korean President Moon Jae-in will deliver Kim's invitation when he meets Francis next week during his trip to Europe, his spokesman said.
