NT Chief Minister hits out at misinformation over Katherine cluster

Northern Territory's Chief Minister Michael Gunner hit out against 'tinfoil tossers' for spreading misinformation about the Territory's coronavirus response.

Mr Gunner said a 'huge amount' of misinformation had been spread about Howard Springs quarantine facility and the deployment of the Australian Defence Force, and blamed 'people who don't live here and know nothing about us.'

'It's coming from flogs outside the territory. Mostly America, Canada and the UK. People who have nothing better to do than to make up lies about us,' he said.

Mr Gunner made the comments alongside a coronavirus update where he announced one new COVID-19 case had been detected in connection to the cluster in Indigenous communities in Katherine.
