The Queensland premier's department says publishing a diary entry with the identity of a secret intelligence agent was an administrative error.
The Queensland premier's department has revealed the identity of a secret intelligence agent in what it says was an administrative error that won't happen again.
The name of the ASIO agent was published online in a routine release of Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk's diaries, The Guardian reports.
Ms Palaszczuk's office said it was taken down and apologised for the administrative error, saying measures had been put in place to stop the security breach from happening again.
Queensland opposition leader Deb Frecklington labelled the incident "an absolute disgrace" and called for a full investigation.
"[Ms Palaszczuk] has compromised national security and compromised an intelligence officer who is serving our nation," she wrote on Twitter.
"A full investigation must be carried out into this farce."
