Some social media users aren't too happy with the Sunshine State.
After a sea of blue swept across Queensland on Saturday night, crippling Labor's hopes of forming government, some people have taken to social media to show they aren't too happy with the Sunshine State.
They're so unhappy, in fact, that many are cheekily proposing #Quexit - a move which would see Queensland cut loose from the rest of Australia.
On Saturday night, the Coalition government was returned to power in a surprise result that largely depended on gains in the Queensland electorates of Herbert and Longman - so much so that Prime Minister Scott Morrison personally thanked the state in his victory speech.
"How good's Queensland?" he said, as the crowd echoed his sentiments, chanting "Queensland" over and over.
While some people remain firm on Quexit, others have decided that the process of annexing an entire state might be too time-consuming and have simply decided to flee to New Zealand.
Others thought a banana boycott might be more effective in the short term.
