The Sydney Roosters have reportedly re-signed key pair Luke Keary and Jake Friend.
The Sydney Roosters have shored up their stocks for the post-Mitchell Pearce era, reportedly re-signing co-captain Jake Friend and Luke Keary.
The key pair were off contract at the end of the 2018 NRL season however the Roosters have moved to keep them at Bondi Junction.
In a big boost which will ensure the Tri-colours remain a premiership force for the next several years, co-captain Friend has signed on for a further two years until 2020, News Corp reports.
Five-eighth Keary has agreed to a three-year extension through till the end of 2021.
The Roosters will boast one of the strongest spines in the competition in 2018 with Friend and Keary combining with star signings Cooper Cronk and James Tedesco.
Incumbent NSW halfback Pearce was granted a release from the final year of his contract following the recruitment of Cronk on a two-year deal and has signed with Newcastle.
On Thursday the club also announced the re-signing of back-rower Isaac Liu on a three-year deal until the end of 2021.
