Small Business Beyond Borders opportunities

The European Union-backed Business Beyond Borders is working with the New South Wales Business Chamber to connect Australian small businesses with opportunities in Europe.

The match-making move follows the first ever EU trade mission to Australia and New Zealand, and is focused on technology, digital services and ICT sectors.

There are hopes this would increase business ties for SMEs in Europe.

The 28 countries of the EU represent the world’s largest trading economy. The NSW Business Chamber says the EU will provide a wealth of opportunity for small businesses to export their expertise and services.

Technology taskforce challenge for small businesses

The Small Business Digital Taskforce has handed down its findings to the Federal Government.

Small and Family Business Minister Craig Laundy says the challenge of adopting digital technologies can be daunting for small businesses, but they can improve productivity and provide cost savings in the long run.

The taskforce spent four months speaking to various vendors and suppliers of digital solutions, in an effort to identify how to provide better coordinated digital advice and support for small businesses.
