Sana Qadar is a TV and radio journalist who for the past decade has lived in Toronto, Washington DC, New Delhi, London, Doha and Beijing and has worked with major broadcasters including the BBC, Al Jazeera English, CTV (Canadian Television) and CRI (China Radio International).

To date, Sana has covered the lead up to the 2008 US presidential elections in Washington DC for CTV, the 2010 World Expo in Shanghai for CRI, and was involved in producing coverage of the Syrian migration crisis while at Al Jazeera in London in 2015.

In Australia, Sana has worked for the ABC where she produced breaking coverage of major stories for News24 and has reported on contemporary arts for both Radio National and News24, interviewing artists from Syria, Ghana and the Philippines, and covering exhibitions in Sydney, Hong Kong and London.

Sana holds a Bachelor of Arts (Radio and Television) from Ryerson University in Toronto, and a Masters of Arts (International Studies and Diplomacy) from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London.

Sana was born in Pakistan, raised in Canada, and now calls Sydney home.
