Swans ruck to miss at least 3 AFL games

Sydney coach John Longmire is weighing up how best to handle the AFL club's ruck crisis after confirmation Callum Sinclair will be out for at least three weeks.

Callum Sinclair will spend at least three weeks on the sidelines because of a dislocated shoulder as Sydney prepare to field an AFL team without a recognised ruckman.

The Swans are hopeful Sinclair will return later this year but if the joint doesn't respond well to rest then he may be booked in for season-ending surgery.

Michael Knoll, recently recruited via the mid-season draft, is the only fit ruckman remaining at the club but coach John Longmire hinted the former basketballer is far from certain to debut against Essendon.
