A group of sex workers have united in disdain of Trump, and are campaigning to put a woman in the White House for the first time. Watch it below.
“As a feminist, I’m happy. I’m tickled pink that a woman’s gotten this far.”
For the first time in history, a woman is running on a major party platform, and Sable is very happy about it.
She’s part of a group of Clinton supporters that are heavily invested in women’s rights, Hookers for Hillary.
According to the members at the Sagebrush Ranch, Nevada, most sex workers support Clinton, if for no other reason than being united by a hatred of Trump.
“You can tell by how he speaks to people that he’s probably working with only this much in his pants,” said Dahlia.
Sable is of a similar mind. “I’ve shifted over to the Hillary camp just simply because I have a problem with a sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot.”
Successive administrations have ignored and marginalized sex workers at best, and criminalised them at worst. Will a woman in the White House change anything?
“I hope she will,” answered Sable.
“I don’t think anyone in government has ever sat down and talked with sex workers and found out why we do what we do.
“Whether they want to or not, we need to be represented”.
