Opposition refuses to pair with Government as payback


Bill Shorten has decided to take Malcolm Turnbull's 'working majority' for a ride.

In this, the country of mateship, our parliamentarians are squabbling again.

Parliament doesn't sit for another two weeks, but Shorten has already declared that his Opposition won't 'pair' with the Government. Pairing is a process whereby when one MP is unable to attend a vote due to sickness or travel, an MP for the other side will sit out.
