PM rejects calls from retired judges for national anti-corruption commission

Prime Minister Scott Morrison has rejected calls from more than 30 retired Australian judges to establish a stronger national anti-corruption commission. The alliance of eminent legal minds made a rare intervention into the election campaign, warning that without a proper watchdog, the “serious erosion of democratic principles” would be at stake.
