Its proud Aboriginal community have been celebrating NAIDOC all week. Nestled by the Murray River, Murray Bridge is known as one of the most picture perfect cities.

Respected Ngarrandjeri women, Eunice Aston and Aunty Vicki Hartman, say they love this time of the year and how it brings the Murray Bridge community together.

Aunty Vicki was one of the favourites with the children during one of the many NAIDOC events for reading books that combine traditional language and beautiful drawings.

She believes NAIDOC Week brings out the best in her people and says she is warmed to see that the non-indigenous community of Murray Bridge embraces it too.

The community has been celebrating since Friday and there are plenty more NAIDOC events scheduled before the end of the week.
