NITV REGIONAL, REMOTE AND EMERGING INITIATIVE

Our Stories

NITV’s landmark series of short documentaries broadcasted weeknights from 6.30pm and on weekends at 7:00pm is coming back for 2016. Our Stories is a collection of documentaries that share stories of our life, our history, our elders, our communities, our youth and our cultures.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have the opportunity to produce stories from the diverse communities that make up Australia, revolving around set themes.

What theme does your story explore:

  • Stories of our history and political movements,
  • Stories from our elders,
  • Stories from community,
  • Inspiration from our youth,
  • Ourculture, our language.

NITV offers a $10,000 Presale for a 13-14 minute film. This enables the production company to shoot/edit, top and tail and delivery of the story.

We are also offering a Presale for $12,000 for in language stores, which also includes a shoot as well as edit, the top and tail and delivery of the story.

  • All Our Stories required paperwork and press kits.
  • All finished documentaries have to be at a rating no higher than PG.
  • This year we are doing one call out. All  documentaries are to be delivered by May 30th.

Submissions must be received before 9.30am (EDST), Friday 13 November 2015.

The fourth series will continue to give an opportunity for production of work from our Regional, Remote and Emerging sectors. NITV will commission a further 50 works for its 2016 season. We also require at least two out of the three key creatives to be Indigenous.

Email commissions if you wish to apply via nitvproposals@sbs.com.au. Or download the application form here.
