Air New Zealand staff performed the heart-pumping Ka Mate Haka on the tarmac to the All Blacks to celebrate their Rugby World Cup victory.

After the All Blacks left the airport, where hundreds of fans were waiting to greet them, some of who had waited all night according to Maori Television, the team travelled through a street parade in Auckland.

They arrived at Victoria Park to a throng of crowds to be received officially, which they live streamed through the Periscope app.

All Blacks champion Sonny Bill Williams expressed his gratitude to the nation's lively welcome on Wednesday. "Great to be back home, thank you for all the support," he said via Twitter.
