The Prosecution's office calls for the death penalty for Pablo. Cándido and Cristina, his parents, hire Clay Monroe, a lawyer who is sure that without DNA remains or fingerprints of Pablo at the crime scene, the jury will find him not guilty. However, Clay's health begins to deteriorate and when the time comes for trial, he is not in his best position to defend Pablo. Cándido asks to change lawyers, but the judge gives him no choice. Tanya, who despite the physical separation, has decided to continue their relationship, does not understand that a facial expert is not hired to prove that the person that appears in the murder video is not him. What looked like it was going to be an easy trial suddenly becomes the beginning of a long odyssey.
