SHINee have been just a bit busy this year with the release of the mega 2-part, 3rd full –length Korean album The Misconceptions of Me/You; their second Japanese studio album Boys Meet U; 6 music videos; numerous drama soundtracks; and appearances on TV programs (Taemin <3 APink’s Naeun on WGM #TaEun <3<3<3).

Taeun in love

hehehehehehehe

Despite all the hard work this year, SHINee’s latest mini album Everybody does not fall short of the mark. The title track ‘Everybody’ reminded me of Super Junior M’s ‘Break Down’, which I also liked from the first listen. I don’t think I can say the same for the music video – a rare occasion when I prefer the song over the MV? *curls into defensive ball against angry shawols* [tries to recover] ...but I liked the set and outfits and concept!

‘Symptoms’ was the first thing we heard prior to their full comeback and I was THRILLED that SHINee were going back to their RnB roots – I’m quite partial to RnB and I love a good slow jam *body rolls*. This track has to be one of my highlights of the mini album.

There aren’t any surprises in this mini album nor are there any low points, in my opinion. Even the change of pace with ‘One Minute Back’ and ‘Close The Door’ make for a good flow to this mini album.

Wonder which photo card I’ll get..

SHINee’s back.. again.
