Hey! Say! JUMP’s Yamada Ryosuke is set to star in NTV's new live action adaptation of "Kindaichi Shonen no Jikenbo N (neo)" (Kindaichi Case Files or The File of Kindaichi).

Yamada Ryōsuke will star as the main character “Hajime Kindaichi” (previously played by Arashi's Matsumoto, KAT-TUN's Kamenashi Kazuya & KinKi Kids' Domoto Tsuyoshi) and since he has already played a young detective in 2 previous television specials in 2013/14 – you’d think he'll be able to slip easily into the role!

The drama is based on the popular manga (written by Amagi Seimaru and illustrated by Sato Fumiya) and it’s the 1st time in 13 years for the series to get a serial drama since it was last aired in 2001.

"Kindaichi Shonen no Jikenbo N (neo)" will air this July.
