EXO’s Kris’ (Wu Yi Fan) legal representatives met for the first arbitration meeting with SM Entertainment to discuss the outcome of Kris’ intent to end his contract with the entertainment giant.
Discussions ended without either side having made any progress in the matter. Legal representatives made a statement to the press of that effect, “the case will continue. We have nothing in particular to say.”
Neither SM Entertainment director Kim Young Min or Kris were in attendance at this meeting, which is likely to be the first of many more to come. As previously reported (below) Kris is currently in Prague filming director Xu Jing Lei's “Somewhere Only We Know".
Kris first filed a suit to have his contract with SM Entertainment dissolved back on May 15. In addition he is allegedly seeking 20 million won (approx. $21,000 AUD) in damages.
IN EARLIER NEWS: EXO’s Kris confirmed to be filming with director Xu Jing Lei
Chinese media outlet Sina has reported that EXO’s Kris is confirmed to be filming director Xu Jing Lei’s movie, “Somewhere Only We Know” (有一個地方只有我們知道) in Prague, Czech Republic.
Kris, who is currently on hiatus from promotional activities with EXO, will begin filming as early as June 24.
The movie “Somewhere Only We Know” is a romance film about a girl who leaves for Europe after the death of her grandmother. She meets a guy there and falls in love with him. (Soompi)
With this news, the possibility of a return to promotional activities with the group seems more unlikely.

Here are some of the press photos that have surfaced so far:
IN EARLIER NEWS: EXO's Kris working with Chinese director Guo Jingming
Chinese media outlet Sina has reported that Chinese director and renowned author Guo Jingming and EXO's Kris are currently working together. The director appeared at a recent press conference for his movie Tiny Times 3 and stated,
"Kris and I are working on a fun, mysterious project together. I can't reveal it right now, but when its time, everyone will know."
Following Kris seeking to terminate his contract with SM Entertainment, he hasn't revealed mush else to the press; there has only been speculation that he might be being treated for a heart condition in Beijing (see below).
Allegedly SM Entertainment had prevented the pair working together previously, while Kris was under contract. If this is true, then it will more than likely affect Kris’ case against SM Entertainment which the Seoul Central District Court have referred to mediation.
IN EARLIER NEWS: EXO's Kris spotted at a Beijing hospital
Chinese media site Sina (they own SN site weibo) reported that a fan spotted Kris at Fu Wei Hospital in Beijing, "the largest hospital specialised in treatment, prevention and research in cardiovascular diseases" having a check-up. As reported earlier, Kris is rumoured to be suffering from Myocarditis (an inflammatory virus that infects the heart muscle).
This is the photo a fan posted to weibo that is supposed to be Kris, we can NOT confirm that it is actually him.
We haven't heard anything from Kris since the statement he made publically on weibo page that he's "alright" after seeking to terminate his contract (see below).

There has been a number of reports, namely from Chinese Media outlet Sina, that suggest Kris visited a hospital in the city of Guangzhou to have his heart assessed as he is rumoured to be suffering from Myocarditis (an inflammatory virus that infects the heart muscle). Guangzhou is also Kris’s hometown.
S.M. Entertainment have announced that EXO’s concert will go ahead regardless of Kris’ return, May 23-25 in Seoul.
The last time we heard from Kris publically was the statement he made on his personal weibo account:
"I'm alright, I wish you all the best, and that things will be even better for you guys. Thanks to all of those who support me, thanks for all your voices of support. Wu Yi Fan will always be here!”

IN EARLIER NEWS: EXO's Kris seeks to terminate his contract
Twitter and reddit erupted this morning after renowned Chinese media entertainment company Sina (they own Weibo) released an article which suggests that Kris from EXO is in Seoul Central District Court fighting to have his contact dissolved. If you remember what happened to Super Junior’s Hangeng in December 21, 2009 – it’s a similar situation – he eventually won his case.
See the original Sina article for verification. It is summarised in English in this UNOFFICIAL twitter pic:
Since this morning, SM have stated the potential termination of Kris’s contract is unheard of. As @EXOOfical (The UNOFFICIAL International Fanbase for SM Entertainment) tweet reiterates linking to this daum.net article:
Media group 10Asia have since stated:
"A suit regarding the termination of the contract has been submitted under Kris's Chinese name (Wu) on the 15th... As it has just been submitted today, it has not been completely processed through the system."
SM Entertainment has finally responded to say,
"We are trying to confirm the facts regarding the lawsuit requesting for the termination of Kris' contract. It is a very shocking issue, but we will do our best so that EXO's activities will go on smoothly."
The same lawyer who represented Hangeng of the law firm Hankyul will be representing Kris in his case.
The law firm rep confirmed with media outlets, "It is true Kris has filed a suit today (15th) against SM Entertainment for the nullification of his contract... Lawyer Cho Bum Suk, who represented Hangeng, has picked up this case."
