More information has come to light surrounding BIGBANG member Seungri's car accident last Friday on September 12 and his current situation.
YG Entertainment released a second statement, “Seungri is receiving treatment in a Seoul hospital now and he has been focus to fully recover and get healthy. His situation is not too serious as to need surgery, but unfortunately, he was found to have some bleeding in his liver. He went through a number of tests in the hospital to rule out all possible injuries and harmful side effects. He still requires treatment but he is in a stable condition.”
The agency representative added, “He seemed to be unharmed at first, but to make sure there is nothing serious, he took tests and find out his precise condition. It seems he will be well enough to be sent home after a few days and he will continue to receive outpatient treatment.
"It seems Seungri was in shock at that time and he was focused on meeting his flight departure schedule. However, he was sent back to the hospital after complaining of abdominal pain.”
South Korean road and traffic authorities are still looking into the cause of the accident and police are still looking into the possibility of speeding or the irresponsible use of a mobile device. Driving under the influence of alcohol was ruled out after Seungri’s alcohol test came out negative. Once Seungri's health condition improves, he may be summonsed to provide evidence, but as it stands now, no cause has been confirmed.
IN EARLIER NEWS (12/09/14):
BIGBANG’s Seungri was involved in a serious car accident on Friday while he was driving in Dongbuichon-dong. Seungri’s Porsche collided with a Mercedes Benz, causing his vehicle to roll over and hit the guardrail.
To counteract misleading reports on the idol’s condition, YG Entertainment have since released a statement to assure fans he is recovering well.
The report that [Seungri] injured his liver and is undergoing surgery for it is false... Although he sustained slight internal bleeding, the medical team made the diagnosis that it's something that will be fully healed if he takes it easy for a week."
Another rep added, "It's true he hurt his liver, but he's just receiving treatment, not undergoing surgery. We expect him to stay at the hospital for about a week. He will participate in the investigation with the police after he finishes his treatment."
Korean police have confirmed Seungri was not under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident, but the exact cause still remains unknown.
Footage has also been released which shows how the accident unfolded. Seungri is very lucky to be alive!
Seungri's accident comes only 2 weeks after Ladies' Code members EunB & Rise were killed in an horiffic road accident their whole group was invloved in.
