IN EARLIER NEWS:

As reported by Sports Chosun, Suwon Police force released an official statement today, November 12th, revealing they have arrested Ladies’ Code‘s road manager Mr Park (aged 26) for causing the fatal road accident on September 3.

The prosecution are claiming that Mr Park was speeding at 135.7 km/h before the car collided with a highway barrier. The highway speed limit is 100 km/h and in accordance with Korean law, he should have been travelling at 80 km/h (a 20% reduction) due to the rain.

Mr Park had previously stated, "Because the speed seemed too fast, I had stepped on the brake, but the car slipped."

The prosecution responded in a statement following their investigation, "Mr Park had said during the early police investigation that the car’s back wheel had fallen off right before the accident. However, we have confirmed that the wheel fell off after the accident occurred."

Regarding the airbag not being deployed and contributing to the fatality, the prosecution added, "The air bag was not deployed in the front seat, but this was because it was the side of the car that collided with the barrier, so we have determined that there was no fault with the car’s airbag mechanism."

The accident claimed the lives of Ladies’ Code members EunB and RiSe and seriously injured Sojung. The remaining members SojungAshley, and Zuny, have now been discharged from the hospital
