Time to take a look back at 2014's most shocking, hilarious and sometimes totes awks moments in Asian pop. Lawsuits and departures seemed to be front page news for most of this year, but whose exit was the most dramatic?

You tell us...

Vote in the poll at the bottom of this post!

EXO – Kris (Wu Yifan)

We were all in shock when Kris first announced he filed a lawsuit to have his SM Entertainment contract dissolved. But he seems to be on to bigger and better things - he just got measure for his own Madame Tussauds wax figure after all! #Fighting

EXO – Luhan

It felt like we had only just recovered from Kris’ departure when all of a sudden, Luhan decided to begin his own legal battle to leave the group. We miss you Luhan… but of course we wish you all the best.

Girls' Generation – Jessica

In a whirlwind of news that began with a shock post from Jessica on her weibo account (one we all first thought was a hack ) claiming she had been pushed out of SM Entertainment’s star 9 member girl group, Girls’ Generation.

According to Jessica, her fashion business promotions conflicted with SM Entertainment's demands & she was forced to leave. It was such an emotional time for us all, but it appears Jessica is going from strength to strenght with her fashion business now #fighting.

KARA – Nicole & Jiyoung

This one happened at the very beginning of the year when Nicole took to twitter to announce to fans directly she would be leaving the group. KARA's media company DSP Media followed Nicole's post with an official statement also acknowledging Jiyoung would be leaving to focus on her studies.

Passpo - Okunaka Makoto

Okunaka Makoto announced her departure from PASSPO on September 28 during the Tokyo concert for PASSPO's nationwide tour at Shinjuku BLAZE. Okunaka took the microphone after the encore and explained in tears, "While my activities in PASSPO were fun, I started to become impatient about my future. I want to be more active as an actress someday. I became increasingly impatient toward my dreams. I wanted to challenge myself on yet another stage. This is the biggest decision I've ever made in my life. I don't know whether the path I chose is right or wrong, but I want to be able to think that it was right because it's a choice that I made myself. Please continue to support both PASSPO and Okunaka Makoto.

Morning Musume - Sayumi Michishige

Sayumi Michishige graduated from Morning Musume and Hello! Project just this November! Michishige had the longest tenure of any member in the group's history. In her place, Fukumura Mizuki was named group leader.
