From Japanese groups touring Australia, to new singles and albums, to documentaries and movies; 2015 is going to be huge for J-Pop!

2014 is almost over and it's been such an amazing year for J-pop that it's hard to say goodbye.

It's been the year Kyary Pamyu Pamyu visited Australia, Babymetal made it to Number 5 of Billboard's "World Album Artists" and Arashi released another album. SIIIIIIIGH! 

But 2015 is going to be even better.

Here's how the world of J-Pop is shaping up in 2015:

1. ONE OK ROCK are coming to Australia.

Soundwave announced in November that ONE OK ROCK would be part of the line up for Soundwave 2015.

They'll also be releasing their new album 35xxxv on the 15th of Febuary!

 

2. New single for Nana Mizuki

J-pop singer Nana Mizuki is set to release her 31ST single and a new live Blu Ray/DVD!

The single“Eden” will also reportedly include the coupling tracks “Shumatsu no Love Song”, “Necessary” and “No Limit”.

It’s all due out on January 14, 2015.

3. A member of SID will release a solo album.

AKi from SID is releasing his first album as a solo artist!

TokyoHive have reported that “ARISE” will be a limited album, hitting the shelves on January 28. AKi will also be holding a solo performance on Febuary 3!

 

4. Dempagumi.inc have a new album!

Dempagumi.inc will release their 3rd album in 2015!

The album “WWDD” will be available in 5 different editions- Limited, Regular, Analog, Cassette Tape and Fan Club Members Limited Box!

“WWDD” is due out Febuary 18.

5. Doreamon anime's movie song!

miwa is going to sing the theme song for the Doraemon anime film next year!

miwa made the announcement one of her concerts and was joined on stage by Doraemon!

The movie, “Eiga Doraemon Nobita no Space Heroes Uchuu Eiyuu-ki” is expected to have it’s release on March 7

6.Nogizaka46's documentary!

Nogizaka46’s first documentary is expected to screen in Japan, sometime in 2015.


They made the announcement about the documentary during their live Christmas concert on December 14.
