Girls’ Generation performed at MBC‘s 2014 Gayo Daejejeon (Korean Music Festival) on December 31, and during an interview where the girls professed their new year’s wishes, Sunny opened up about how hard 2014 had been.

She said, “When I think about it, 2014 was a year with a lot of painful memories. I hope the coming year is filled with only good things. I also hope Girls’ Generation is filled with only good memories. The New Year has already started brightly. It is refreshing.”

We can only imagine she is referring to member Jessica leaving the group.

The 2014 MBC Gayo Daejejeon was held at the MBC Ilsan Dream Center, Sangnam Building. It included performances by BTS, GOT7, SISTAR, Red Velvet, Taemin, Boyfriend and more.
