THIS JUST IN:

Super Junior member Shindong will be enlisting into the military today, March 24 and will begin his military service quietly, without any fanfare from SM Entertainment or from the group.

As an SM Entertainment representative explained to Star News, “Shindong is enlisting on March 24. He plans to enter quietly without holding any special meetings or interviews with the press. He has personally expressed his desire to enlist quietly.”

The rep continued, “Shindong and the Super Junior members have already made time separately to say their goodbyes. They will not be accompanying Shindong to the location.”

Shindong is scheduled to enter his service at a recruit training battalion located in Incheon. Fellow group member Sungmin will be enlisting on March 31 in Bucheon.

IN EARLIER NEWS:

According to reports Super Junior's Sungmin and Shindong's enlistment dates have now been set for March. They’ll be enlisting as active duty soldiers for the standard 21 months after receiving basic soldier training.

SM Entertainment also confirmed that the two will be enlisting in March, but their locations and dates are different. According to the agency, "Shindong will be enlisting at the training centre in Yeoncheon on March 24, and Sungmin will be enlisting on the 31st at the Incheon training centre."

"Super Junior's 'SS6' in Macau on March 1 is expected to be the two's farewell stage before enlistment. Please give them your support so that they may complete their military service well," a rep added.

So it will be goodbye to Shindong and Sungmin for now - but it won't be forever! We hope...

At least we'll always have the memories... LOL
