The former EXO member is slated to star in his first, star studded Hollywood film.

Chinese media outlet Sina are reporting Former EXO member Luhan has been cast in Zhang Yimou’s (Raise the Red Lantern, House of Flying Daggers) first Hollywood film “The Great Wall”.

This will be Zhang Yimou's first English language film, produced by Legendary Pictures and will be distributed worldwide through Universal Pictures with a production budget of $135 million.

Luhan is rumoured to have landed one of the lead roles and if so, it will mark his first appearance in an international film.  Andy Lau, Matt Damon, Zhang Hanyu, and Willem Dafoe are also rumoured to front the film’s cast. 

The movie “The Great Wall” will be a 3D historical fantasy action movie depicting the creation of the Great Wall of China set in the era of Song Dynasty. The story follows a mercenary from Europe, William and his comrades who came from far away to China to steal the recipe for gunpowder when they accidentally enter through the gates of the great wall. Here they come across a hidden army and must fight for their lives against mythical beasts.

"The Great Wall" is slated for release in the US in 2016.

Luhan's most recent movie "Miss Granny" topped Korean box offices and he also performed "Our Tomorrow" for the official sound track. Check it out:
