BIGBANG has been banned from SBS' Inkigayo as G-Dragon and TOP missed an appearance. On May 24, G-Dragon and T.O.P were nowhere to be found during the award segment and winning speech for their 1st place stage due to the filming of their music video and Inkigayo staff decided the group should be removed entirely from the show as a result.

One music industry representative said, "It has always been problematic when a 1st place group does not appear on the live broadcast unless they had an unavoidable reason. Big Bang's case is the same. They might have been filming their MV, but the staff must have seen it as a problem as unfair to the rest of the groups."

Fans haven’t reacted positively to the decision, noting the discrepancy in voting last week which saw SHINee win over BIGBANG.

BIGBANG’s "Bang Bang Bang" was added to the voting list 40 hours after the song was released. Inkigayo staff explained they always update the voting list every Wednesday at that time, but fans felt robbed as SHINee won despite BIGBANG holding the #1 spot on the charts.

Inkigayo has not yet announced a winner to the 14th's show and will be announcing the winner between EXO and BIGBANG today.
