YG Entertainment CEO Yang Hyun Suk recently did an interview for Korean news outlet Daily Sports where he talked about his career, BIGBANG’s comeback and rookie groups WINNER and iKON. The creative head also spoke candidly about the company's leading girl group 2NE1 and their absence from the recent surge of comebacks.

The Daily Sports interviewer stated, “2NE1 have really been missed during the recent battle amongst girl groups”.

Yang Hyun Suk responded, “As I watch the battle between so many girl groups lately, I think to myself that I want to hear a song by 2NE1”.

He continued, “The reason is that there are not many groups who make music with the same amount of personality as 2NE1. CL‘s solo debut in America is coming up soon, and I think that if CL succeeds, it will have a good influence on 2NE1′s comeback as well”.
